1952 VINCENT BLACK SHADOW, Series “C”
|
Description 1952 VINCENT BLACK SHADOW, Series “C”, aka, “The MONTLHERY RECORD/VIETNAM BLACK SHADOW” and utilizes a real live, unchanged and genuine factory racing engine. Special everything and built as a backup engine to the “standard” record breaking event bike at MONTLHERY, France in 1952. Several endurance records were shattered by Vincent which wanted to show how fast their street bikes were. Tremendous history, this bike is nearing completion in our shops. A superb and historically important bike bound to be the top piece in any Vincent collector’s or museum’s collection. It’s that good. Race carbs, heads, crank, cams, etc., etc. It’s a Lightning in everything but name as they were trying to play like any old regular Shadow could run this fast, this long. A factory cheater bike if you will. Needless to say, this one’s expensive, but should continue to appreciate. This item cannot be purchased from the website.
