1952 MONTLHERY/VIETNAM Black Shadow

Description
1952 MONTLHERY/VIETNAM Black Shadow

It's done! The historic survivor of the 1952 VINCENT Works multiple world's record event at the Montlhery track, South of Paris in the hot summer of 1952 and somehow ended up in the rice paddies of Vietnam and then to the USA has been completed. It has what may very likely be the last unmolested works racing engine known. Safe to say that others have been rebuilt using different parts, clearances, etc. over the decades, but not this one. We have carefully returned it to cosmetic and mechanical readiness and added electric start.

We will add images of its internals including the specially numbered cases indicating some very, very special attention by Vincent for the record work in France. Oh, and be sure to note the Marchal headlamp with period french yellow bulb, now 12v., recommended by track experts of the day for the night time hours at extremely high speeds. This bike is very fast and should reach nearly 100 mph in first gear.
