Garage

Needless to say, we can't sell these motorcycles directly from the website. If you're interested in purchasing one, contact us to make arrangements. Be sure to include the model and year of the bike you want in your message.

UPDATE - November, 2008

The MONTLHERY BLACK SHADOW is nearing completion. I know, I've said that before, but we have it just about ready to test and rephotograph for the site. A spectacular bike.

You will see on the site, a series of images for the 1949 Series "B" Black Shadow we are offering for sale on behalf of a client.  This motorcycle, as you can tell from the image series, is both correct and genuine. One of only 80 made.  Considered the key to a solid Vincent collection, the "B" Shadow is both rare and fast.  This particular one has had some work done inside to lighten the cam gears and received polishing on internals.  As well, racing cams were installed a long time back all of which make this one very fast Black Shadow.  Judge for yourself the condition of it, but note the "B" particulars never seen such as the "B" shifter.  This superb bike has about 500 careful break-in miles by myself mostly and has been properly cared for.  I rode it at the Legend Of The Motorcycle ride in 2007, passing the two jet bikes in the turns.  They managed to repass on the long straights of course!  A sensation bike.

Work is restarting on the 1932 Vincent HRD model DPS 500cc bike; the oldest Vincent in America.  4 valves, bronze head, inspected by Phil Irving and test ridden by Phil Vincent himself.  Great history.  A very historic bike finally coming together.

So, if you are tired of losing your a__ in the market and looking for something solid and fun, Vincents have risen steadily and spectacularly over the past decade.  Stop taking a beating and buy a fine Vincent!

GARAGE SALE

Yes, a garage sale. I'm tripping over all the bikes here. You probably know the problem; easier to buy bikes than to sell them. All of these motorcycles are bikes from my own collection. Some have been in it forever and some only months. They are of a level of quality to suit me and I suspect they will do well for you. We are adding text as we go, and the White Hunter text doesn't apply, obviously. So, get these outta here before the wife gets really upset.

GARAGE SALE EXPANDS

Since the Garage Sale began, we’ve sold the BROUGH SUPERIORS. As well, we are adding some very exciting bikes for your consideration. You know my bikes are the real thing, run well and are the best you can get. These aren’t bargain basement bikes. What appreciates the very best are the top bikes, not fixer-uppers. Common bikes, shabby bikes, etc. are poor investments and aren’t the most fun to ride or to take to bike events either.

I’ll be adding extensive word descriptions and images for the following:

1952 VINCENT BLACK SHADOW, Series “C”, aka, “The MONTLHERY RECORD/VIETNAM BLACK SHADOW” and utilizes a real live, unchanged and genuine factory racing engine. Special everything and built as a backup engine to the “standard” record breaking event bike at MONTLHERY, France in 1952. Several endurance records were shattered by Vincent which wanted to show how fast their street bikes were. Tremendous history, this bike is nearing completion in our shops. A superb and historically important bike bound to be the top piece in any Vincent collector’s or museum’s collection. It’s that good. Race carbs, heads, crank, cams, etc., etc. It’s a Lightning in everything but name as they were trying to play like any old regular Shadow could run this fast, this long. A factory cheater bike if you will. Needless to say, this one’s expensive, but should continue to appreciate.

1949 SERIES "B" BLACK SHADOW (1 of only 80)

1952 MONTLHERY/VIETNAM Black Shadow
It's done! The historic survivor of the 1952 VINCENT Works multiple world's record event at the Montlhery track, South of Paris in the hot summer of 1952 and somehow ended up in the rice paddies of Vietnam and then to the USA has been completed. It has what may very likely be the last unmolested works racing engine known. Safe to say that others have been rebuilt using different parts, clearances, etc. over the decades, but not this one. We have carefully returned it to cosmetic and mechanical readiness and added electric start.

We will add images of its internals including the specially numbered cases indicating some very, very special attention by Vincent for the record work in France. Oh, and be sure to note the Marchal headlamp with period french yellow bulb, now 12v., recommended by track experts of the day for the night time hours at extremely high speeds. This bike is very fast and should reach nearly 100 mph in first gear.
