Vincent Black Lightning pistons, complete, Vincent part no. E7/11 AS.

Condition
The record setting Black Lightnings generally ran on racing fuel and required high compression pistons to achieve full performance. This set of two genuine SPECIALLOID Vincent pistons is new, old stock. The set comes complete, out of the original box, with rings, gudgeon pin and circlips. They have high domes to achieve the high compression. These pistons are ready to install and have no shelf damage at all.

History
The piston set came from the spares inventory of the US Vincent parts supplier, Mr. Harry Bellville of Ohio. He retained the racing spares used by the Burns & Wright team and its record holding Vincent Black Lightning. They passed through the hands of several US Vincent collectors until they were obtained by me several years ago. They have not been offered for sale until now.

Why buy the genuine pistons when nobody will take your engine apart to see if they are modern reproductions or the genuine article? A Vincent Black Lightning is a very expensive motorcycle and the more correct that it is in specification, the more it will be worth when you decide to sell it. If you have attended to all areas to complete its renovation even to the insides of the engine, it can only serve to enhance your enjoyment and that of any future owners. The piston set is sold with an HVG bill of sale stating the history as given here.
